“Find 1,000 ways to say the same thing” – Jack Butcher.

Will Clarke does with his Spotify playlist. Every Monday, Will finds a different way to say the same thing. It’s what I do with The Blueprint. Every Tuesday, I find a different way to say the same thing.

This week’s Blueprint provides you with six examples of how Will Clarke shares his Spotify playlist to Instagram.

Remember, the blueprint to success is right in front of you. You just have to look in the right places.

Combine your interests.

Here are two posts from Instagram where Will has updated his Spotify playlist.

For the first one, Will is stood outside of a chicken shop. The key here is both of these posts is the photos have nothing to do with music at all. If there is one thing Will loves more than music, it’s food.

Will uses clever captions and personal lifestyle photos to encourage you to engage with his post first. Will then trusts that you will trust his music selection and search for the playlist afterwards.

After the caption, he tags a selected number of artists, who then engage with his post.

It works. His Spotify playlist has 19,163 followers.

Create fun captions that match the photo.

Below are two more examples.

Both follow the same blueprint as before. See how every caption matches the photo?

Will has worked out what works and consistently uses the same formula in every one of his posts.

Focus on relevant events from the real world.

Paying attention to what is going on in the world is a great way to make your social media captions relevant.

In these two examples, Will references the announcement by Boris Johnson regarding nightclubs and International Women’s Day.

All the tracks on the playlist update that week were from female artists.
